I owned several yahoo groups with thousands of members and feel your pain on getting participation. ?I think a lot of people are like me and take daily digests and scan them for only topics that interest them. I think a lot of others use the groups more as a reference library and only go to it periodically for help and never would be aware of a poll or the fact the group needs money to operate. Everyone is hooked on free internet resources. ?I’ve noticed Wikipedia is also soliciting funding.?
