Several of the groups that you and I both belong to made the move to groups.io, and to premium groups where appropriate, because I and others (including you) suggested such, and volunteered funds to help make it happen. The Metal Shapers group I moved myself, since I was the owner. Funds to support the move originally came out of my pocket, at a time when I had some spare funds. Others who agreed with us that the move was a good idea ponied up their own funds to keep it going. I don't have much in the way of spare funds now, or I'd volunteer more of my money to do this. SWMBO is getting cataract surgery next week, and we've decided to get her the kind of lenses that correct her severe astigmatism, as well as replacing the damaged lenses. $3400 out of pocket for the lenses, plus whatever the insurance won't pay for the surgeries, and the drugs needed for pre- & post-operative care. She will need new glasses, after her recovery, too. This on top of over 5 grand in other medical and dental and vision care, and after we lost the commercial medical insurance that evaporated when my job did, in April. I'm about tapped out, right now, but this group is worth something to me, and I hope to several others, as well. I guess we'll find out in the next few days or weeks which route, or routes, the group decides it wants to take.? Another thing that might be worth some discussion would be a few more owners and/or moderators. The Metal Shapers group has several co-owners now, as I was a member of several groups that J. W.
