If you want Groups.io to transfer everything automatically, including
subscribers, that's what you are paying for; in which case there is no
need for you to bother with moving files, etc. They do it all.
If you intend to copy everything from the old group yourself and inform
the Yahoo group subscribers to sign up for the new group, there is no fee.

Paypal will work as well
According to the new rules at groups.io they require the group to be a
premium member before they will transfer a group over.? Not sure when
they changed from not charging up front but sounds like it was a few
months ago.
My preference to recieve funds is by e-transfer, where you log into your
online banking and set up an e-transfer to my email.
Alternately you can send money using PayPal again to my email address
starlight_tools(at)shaw.ca?? change the (at) to @
I have manually added the files section already, it is the photos and
transfering the members that still has to be dealt with.

Walter, PayPal would be easier for most of us!

Ryan and group
There has been interest expressed in migrating the group to
groups.io <>
Joe and I have already secured a group name there to start the
process.? The next step is to upgrade the group to a premium
subscription for one year.? This has a cost of $110 not sure if
that is USD or CDN.? If the group has less than 1 gb of data
used we can drop back to a free plan after the year is up.
As I have 20 odd groups I am dealing with I can not afford to
bear the whole cost of this.
If members want to contribute towards this it would be
appreciated once I have collected the funds I will proceed with
the migration process.
An etransfer will probably work the best, mark it as 4x6bandsaw
group.

I'm going to hand this one off to someone else.? If someone
wants to spearhead a migration, I will be happy to cheer
that effort.
