Ok, I have a couple of ideas about the design. One design would be printed similar to the aluminum piece that you use to carry the hacksaw blade scraper. I envision making the angled blade carrier (the area that the scraper blade is attached to) somewhat larger for more support from the plastic and slotted such that the blade could be sandwiched between two sides. I would then use an appropriately sized screw through the hole in the blade and press-fit a nut in an inset on the blade side to clamp the blade in place.?
The other idea would be to just print the whole thing and do away with the blade altogether...alternatively, slot it as above so that a replaceable wiper blade made of one or more thicknesses of plastic cut from a milk jug could be used.
As for the vertical seat/table, I like the hinged design that is in the Sept/Oct 1997 HSM magazine. A picture of it is in the files or photos section...I have that particular issue so not sure where it is here.
When you refer to the top surface of the guide roller block being square to the blade, that is something I hadn't considered! Are you are referring to the surface of the guide roller block that the scraper attaches to, so that if it is not perpendicular to the top of the blade the scraper blades will be skewed and could hit the teeth of the blade?
