I have re-weld cast iron before and that's why I would like to see pictures.? You have to clean it up on a mill but might be an option.

I have a HF style motor mount that has the cast
iron plates...I wish I had a picture...may I can send
one later.
It appears there is a plate that attaches to the
motor, and a plate that attaches to the saw by two large
bolts.? Then it appears that are 4 bolts that attach the
two plates together.
The plate that attaches to the saw is what
broke...and it broke by one of the large bolts.? It
cracked and broke apart.
I saw that some similar saws had a different type
of mount.? A solid square piece of metal that looks like
1 inch square.? I found a 1 inch by 1 inch square tubing
I have we really thick walls.? I also have some thick
sheet metal I can weld to the ends of the tubing to
create this type of mount.
So far this is the only solution I have.? Does
anyone have any o ther advice or different solution?? Is
this a good solution?? Any advice I should be aware of
in regards to this solution?? Can I buy a replacement
mount somewhere?
Thanks In Advance
