Year of production of my Zeiss cameras 4
Hi, I am new of this grup, and I would have a question to expose: I am the lucky possesor of a Super Ikonta IV and a Contessa 35, I know the first one was produced from 1956 to 1960 and the second one from 1950 to 1955, but what I would like to know is the exact year of production of the cameras. The serial number of my Super Ikonta is D92172 and the lens (Carl Zeiss Tessar 75mm f/3.5) serial number is 1303498, the ones of my Contessa 35 is A10345 for the body and 862835 for the lens (Carl Zeiss-Opton Tessar T 45mm f/2.8); there is a way to date accurately our Zeiss Ikons? PS. I also have a Rolleiflex 3.5 E of which I would like to know the exact year of production, the serial of the body is 1751186, the lens (Carl Zeiss Planar 75mm f/3.5) is 1764128 I rely on your knowledge to give a precise age to my "old ladies" Greetings, Max

I am seeking a Zeiss repair person for my 180mm f2.8 Sonnar in reflect housing, circa 1937. I just made this purchase and the mirror came loose in shipping. It is out of its retaining frame and may have damaged inside lens surfaces. I need someone to fasten the mirror back in its retaining frame and inspect the lenses. Recommendations? I am in California, so that would be my first choice. However, quality and cost of work are most important. Lee Laney Chico CA
