I'm a freelance translator from England living in the Netherlands and have decided to get back into film photography. Sometimes this digital stuff is just too easy! And I remember how much I used to enjoy the brainwork and 'playing with a mechanical toy' aspect of manual photography. I've become fascinated by the old 120 folding cameras, some of them are so cute, and from what I've seen on the web they can shoot fantastic pictures.
In the pre-digital era I used to take slides and got superb results with a series of 35mm cameras including a Rollei 35B/B35, a Zenit and a Praktica SLR. I used to keep part-exchanging cameras for something 'better'.
My new-to-me Ikonta 520/2 has just arrived and I'm looking forward to shooting small numbers of 6x9 photos. I have a couple of questions about it, so will put those in a separate post.
