CZJ Serial Numbers

 

Hello ,


I'm new member and Sonnar lenses enthusiast.

I got small collection of Sonnar lenses and I would like to when they were produced.


1. CZJ Sonnar?? 8,5cm f2 ? ? ? SN 1890641?? 1936????????????? Coated

2. CZJ Sonnar 13,5cm f4 ? ? ? ? ? ? 2253743?? 1937? ? ? ??? Uncoated ????

3. CZJ Sonnar ? ?? 5cm f2 ? ? ? ? ?? 2684906 ? ? ? ? ?? Red T ?? Coated

4. CZJ Sonnar ? ?? 5cm f1.5 ? ? ? ? 2394132 aperture ring has written f11 but it closes further one stop. Uncoated

5. CZJ Sonnar????? 5cm f1.5???????? 2859561 this one seems like entirely made of aluminium. ? Red T Coated

Timur, nice start to a collection.?? I am of the opinion that the 268 lens is probably post-WW2 production.? I have a lens with a close serial number, and it has a mix of brass and aluminum alloy components.? Also my lens had hand-scratched markings on the internal lens barrel that are not typically seen in earlier CZJ lenses.

Very interesting, my mother was born in 1936, my father in 1938, my father in law in1937, my mother in law
in 1945. My self I was born on December 4, 35 years later after the 2859561 batch was completed.

Thanks, I am afraid that I'm getting addicted to CZJ Sonnar lenses, especially 5cm f1.5:))

I only have two Sonnar 1.5 optics. ?The 50mm has such a luminance with contrasty B&W. ?I have not shot the 20cm 1.5 yet. ?It is a 9X12cm.
