Separate rangefinders are fairly common and can. be had cheaply on ebay.

Hi everyone
I have made a slow start experimenting with my 521/2 and had some mixed results! Members of this group (Piers and Simon) very kindly sent me instruction manuals for a later model (the Ikonta which I think is model number 531 onwards) and I have been using the depth of focus tables from there to compose my photographs since my model doesn't have a rangefinder.?
Does anyone with an earlier model like mine have any tips as how to further inmprove my results? Is there such a thing as a separate rangefinder contraption that I could use? I am new to photography in general so please excuse my ignorance but willing to learn!
