tide mill power generation
I live in Penpol on Restronguet Creek and in the penpol part of the the Creek there is the remains of a tide mill (used for crushing bone back in the day). Every time I pass it I wonder about the possibility of a community project to restore the structure and install a tide powered generator to feed into the local community. If every creek had one, this could create a small but locally significant amount of power? Also great community projects - intergenerational with the many retired engineers around the place working with young people to create a project suitable for each specific area. I reckon small and locally appropriate is the way we need to go.
