'98 US Ghost - Simple trick to drain the gas tank 5
Hello All, First post on the Zanelist 开云体育 :) After some investigation it appears that the fuel pump of the Ghost is no longer functional. The goal now is to empty the tank. I used a small hand pump to empty 6 liters through the upper hole (tank cap) but there are still 10 liters that are inaccessible with this system. Quick question Is there a simple trick to drain the gas tank ? Thanks a lot --- Stéphane

Laverda 750S for sale in the UK - 1,500 miles from new. #750s #Bike_for_Sale
After >13 yrs of ownership I have decided the time has come to sell my Laverda 750S She's a 1998 model - truly amazing condition, having only covered 1.5k miles (2,100kms) from new. Always dry stored, for many years inside my house :) Recently fully recommissioned, including: - Petrol tank removed, deep cleaned, new fuel filter and in-tank fuel lines replaced - Fresh oil & filter - New coolant - Brand new X-ring Gold chain She has had the starter cable upgrade done, and has a new Mottobatt high capacity battery this year. The oil filter upgrade has also been done. Completely standard, as you'd expect. Has a small scratch on the tank cover and the rear seat panel just from manoeuvring in the garage over the years. Starts, runs and rides perfectly. I've owned her for 13 years. Looking for ?4,250 Viewing possible in Colchester, Essex - anytime Happy to answer any questions.

Guys a bit of help required, on my 668 Black Strike, the brake light isn’t coming on for the front or rear, I’ve tested the switches with a multi meter and both are functioning but a bit stuck now. Anyone got any ideas, hidden fuse location etc ?? On 20 Aug 2024, at 14:22, e-mail chris.harvey33 via groups.io <chris.harvey33@...> wrote: ? Screen 778 5 #Windscreen
I have tried aftermarket screens and they are usually fine but not as good as the OEM. In particular the OEM ones had a lip formed on the top edge that aftermarkets never seem to have. Also a lot of the early OEM models actually have LAVERDA stamped into the material on the lower riders right side (near the mirror). If you intent is to ride the bike then aftermarket is fine. If however you are trying to do a restoration back to OEM this probably wont meet your needs. Note - windscreens seem to pop up on ebay germany occassionaly, maybe set up a saved search with notification Cheers martin G USA

Black strike 668 clutch 11
Morning guys, When cleaning the clutch plate the piston dropped out but the workshop manual doesn’t show sufficient detail to which way it goes back in ?? I’m thinking hollowed out section to inside and flat to outside but would appreciate a steer ?? Thanks again Ian On 8 Dec 2024, at 12:23, sepp.ganter@... wrote: ? engine case connection rod 20
Greetings- Here is a question for anyone who has taken the top of the crankcase off (I know it wont be many but never hurts to ask) It seems that there is a rod that is used to connect the two engine cases. Its a short rod and it goes into both the top and bottom engine cases almost like a guide. The hole it goes into is slanted for the case so the rod seems to go in at about 350 degrees for the top and 105 degrees for the bottom. My question is has anyone found a way to remove this rod from the bottom part of the case? Its definitely a separate piece/not part of the lower case so it should be able to be removed but its stuck fast. I really don't want to drill it out if it can be avoided but Ive tried lots of lubricant, heat (even an induction tool) with no success. Alternatively I have another set of crankcases that don't have the rod. Has anyone put an engine together without the rod? Does it cause any type of leak? I don't think it would but the bottom of the rod hole does seem to exit into the engine casing/ Thanks Martin G Post Script -

Laverda 750s for sale
Unfortunately I have come to the decision to sell my laverda. A number of reasons but primarily because after getting knocked off of my bike last year my arm hand and wrist are so mangled that I'm just not going to be able to ride it. I also have way too many other motorcycles with less compromising riding positions. I bought this at the beginning of the year and was knocked off my other Bike when I was midway through the process of buying it. The guy that had it previously was a real Italian bike nut and spent a lot of time and effort getting her to the point where she was pretty much running ok and back on the road. Unfortunately she's been sat for a while, undercover but will need some minor Recommissioning, drain petrol,'change oil, battery etc. then it's over to you. Aside from briefly starting her up upon delivery I've done nothing with her at all, and that just seems a shame. I've no idea of worth, she stands me in ?1700 but that was with the plastics as well which I am selling separately. So I guess if you came along with ?1500 for the bike or ?1700 for the bike and the plastics we'd have a deal Contact me on 07900 212919 I am nr winchester in Hampshire in the uk Sent from Outlook for iOS

750s plastics 4
Hi If anyone is interested I have a complete set of plastics for a 750s fairing, dummy tank and tail unit. They are surplus to requirements and taking up valuable space. In very good condition, no idea what to ask for them. I also have a 750s rear subframe. Might be useful if anyone is using there's as a track bike or similar I'm nr wimchester in the UK. Collection in person would probably be best but I imagine we could discuss couriers etc if needs be My number is 07900 212919. I am notoriously bad for answering the phone tho so a text message first would be very useful Sent from Outlook for iOS

Rear shock, 750S and Formula: Alternatives ? Second-hand? 24
Hi everyone, After 25 years of faithful service, the Paioli unit on my Formula has spewed its oil out on the garage floor. I don't think I want to re-build it myself - for one thing, I remember from a few years back that Greg had to get at least one seal made up specially. And I don't know anyone here in France capable/competent to do it. So ... 1. Does anyone know of a 'plug-and-play' off-the-shelf alternative? I have a note from some time back that the YSS model MZ366-285TRL-04-85 may do the job. Can anyone confirm, please? 2. Alternatively, does anyone have a decent condition, second-hand one they'd be willing to pass on? Unfortunately, despite special pleading, the fella currently selling one on eBay won't ship to France. Thanks for all thoughts and contributions. Craig
