?Sue how did Bonnie's tests go?? Its so sad what Alzheimer's/dementia? does to a person. I saw it with Geno's mother & my neighbor Diane.? They had outbursts of anger tho & argumentive & difficult to calm down.? There are several kinds of this disease. My neighbor Diane had a rapid form that shut down her organs.? She lived only 18 months after her diagnosis but Geno's mother lived years. I am glad Bonnie is calm with hers.

Heidi got her cast changed last night.? They had to check it for leg sores which she had none but her fur mats so easily they asked if they could shave her leg which I said of course as after this cast for 8 weeks I would end up shaving it anyway as it would be beyond matted!? Her corneal ulcer on her eye is healing nicely too. We go back to have that checked next week.? Last time they gave a blue cast & this time I said no way! LOL? Any color but blue!? They gave her a little sequenced heart on it too! see pictures

June 25 I start working part time. I am really upset but nothing I can do. I will work Mon - Thurs 8:30-2:00.? I will get my first social security check the first of July.? I will now have no sick time -no vacation - no paid holidays- and will have to pay my own health insurance. I may have to get a second job.

Pat, how is Shania doing?? Peanut never liked people & still doesn't.? She has to get used to you but strangers...no way. Remember she bit Trevor once! LOL? Heidi never has like people. She runs from them. Peanut just stays her distance & observes.?

Hugs,

Thet have moved Bonnie from Hospital to Therapy place. She will get tested to see what she knows and can do. Bonnie has remained the same sweet person she is I have never seen her mad at anyone. They did put her on a med for Parkinson but after a couple of day stoped it. All she did was sleep Kerrie said they had a hell of a time keeping her awake to eat or take meds even the Doctor could to get her to respond to him. For right now that is all I know. Glad Heidi is doing well. I’d shave her down so her hair will all grow back the same. Well you all have a great week-end.

Hi Sue and Debbie,

?

Shania is good.? Needs to be groomed next week.? Her dry eye responds nicely to OTC Systane.? No need for cyclosporine yet as long as it remains this good.? We just got back from her walk in the park.? She cries and shivers all the way over, which I think is just excitement and anticipation.? She backs away from people who try to reach out to her and really tries to get away from children.? And she is okay with other dogs, but cautious.

?

Glad to hear about Heidi doing so well.? Yes, pink is more her color and the little heart is sweet.?

Sure sorry you may have to get a second job.? It’s hard to put money away for emergencies after your income is cut and your health insurance taken away.

?

With my mother’s dementia, it seems to make her original personality all the more so.? She was always feisty, as they say.? Now when they tried to put a cast on her broken arm, she screamed and kicked.? So it’s just in a splint for now.? Teresa is going to try to get a cast on it before she leaves for Spain.? While she’s gone, Donna will be ready to help if needed.?

Sue, I’m sure sorry to hear about Bonnie.? But the silver lining is her sweet personality.? A friend took the Parkinson’s drug and it almost knocked her out too.? I’m not sure what she takes now, if anything, because I barely see any sign of Parkinson’s.
