Eduardo,
? ?For this feature, you are correct, they are not saved.? ?This was something I thought about and struggled with.? ?I run on my laptop and have one radio on my desk (FT-891, FT-710, or FT-dx10).?
? ?I do try to use the buttons with say:? ?1- KC5NK (my call);? 2-QSL;? 3: CQ KC5NK;? ?4:? CQ POTA, etc.
? ?The problem might be that on one radio, the label doesn't match what is in the radio.? ?The button labels aren't available in any of the radios.? ?
? ?We could make an assumption that you will only use the program with one radio, then the labels could easily be saved and recalled at power up.? ?If we can accept that assumption, we could make the change to save the text of the buttons.
? ? Would love to hear what others think as well.? ?The change is simple.? ?Or if there are other recommendations, then we could go from there.
? ? I could read/save the configuration based on the radio hooked up at startup (i.e. - FT-891).? ?If the radio type matches at startup with the file updated at YCAT termination or last saved, then load the button captions from the file.? ? Too bad we didn't have access to radio type and serial number.? ?That would be definitive!? :)
Best regards,
? ? Steve
