There needs to be some friction between the Russian players, but you need to keep it minimal to moderate. If too much, they lose. If too little, then one of the Russians will have a cake walk. The

Mike Allexenberg, Jim Povey and I played this and came to a similar
conclusion although we played it all out. The early Russian fratricide
caused problems. They need to cooperate until the last turn
