Great to have received so many excellent recognitions.? We all know how fickle that can be.? It's always confounding and amusing to see how strangely the items are displayed.? That is a focus of fascination to me b/c most real knitters will spot the errors right away.
Other than the craft exhibits - no way I'm going to hang out at a fair.? Too many people aimlessly drifting around and weird odors from the cooking stations.? I've always been that way.
Congratulations - I am in awe b/c you are so productive.
Mary.

Thanks, Mary. As I finish ‘em, I toss into a tote.? I also keep a check list. The one entry I made was in danger of being outgrown before the judging, so it was already given away (at Christmas). ? Ann in PA ?

What a haul!!! ? Congratulations!
My knitting/crafting mojo has left the building. ? Sigh. ?
We’ve been so busy this summer that I haven’t even had time to imagi-knit
Early this spring, we decided to look for a place in the country with acreage. ? DH wants a garden and room to build his workshop. ? I completely understand that. ? I’m cool with it. ? But it’s darn hard to find a place that will house my sewing machine collection, spinning wheels, weaving looms, and craft/fabric/yarn stash. ?
During our search, we found a place my daughter loved with 1.5 acres. ?She’s wanted to get out of town as well. ?So, we spiffed it up and put the rental up for sale (sold in 3 days) and bought that. ?It needed work, so we’ve been busting ourselves to get that done to get her moved in before the closing on our rental. ?Had to move grandsons Playset/jungle jim thing. Thank goodness my BIL has a trailer and equipment. ?
All during this process, I’ve been looking for a place for us and setting up contractors to do stuff here like exterior paint, paver work, etc. ?
It’s been a whirlwind but I think we have found the right place for us. Gotta start the negotiations. ?Cross your fingers for us! ?If we get it, it will be months of moving things, not a week like Katie. ?Don’t think we have that in us again. Lol.?

Don’t envy you the move, even if it adds value to your life. I swore that this would be my last move when we sold the house in WV and moved back to PA. First couple of years, it was a dream, but now that we’ve been here 32 years (as of this month), it’s my reality. ? Anyway, fingers crossed that you find your dream property and a price that pleases you and that the move is smooth! ? ?

Oh, good luck Connie. I hope it works out beautifully for you. Thinking about this kind of thing myself, and can't begin to imagine moving from a place we've been almost 40 years. What a project!

Fingers are crossed! It’s been decades, but we did that “two house payments” thing for way too long. It’s a killer. ? Sounds as tough things are moving in the right direction! ? ?

I’m not sure we’ve found our dream property, but it does fit our needs very well. ? Moving is a PITA but we are going to take our time. ?We bought a cargo trailer that will be fantastic for the sewing machines, looms, wheels, etc. For our furniture, I’m thinking of hiring that done. ?
The house we just made an offer on is already empty, so we can move things at our own pace. ?Having 2 house payments isn’t fun but we need the time to fix things inside here and stage this one to sell. ? Keep your fingers crossed ?? for us!

? Don’t envy you the move, even if it adds value to your life. I swore that this would be my last move when we sold the house in WV and moved back to PA. First couple of years, it was a dream, but now that we’ve been here 32 years (as of this month), it’s my reality. ? Anyway, fingers crossed that you find your dream property and a price that pleases you and that the move is smooth! ? ? ?
Lol.? ? We went to t he fair on Thursday to check out how well (or not) I did. Very pleased to report that every single entry placed! ? I got 22 first place, 12 second place, and 5 third place ribbons. Quite the haul. ? As always, I was surprised by some of the places, like my felted purse. (It is a “dumpling”—a square with straps that through clever folding and strappage, becomes a small handbag. It was all opened up and displayed flat<?>. Placed 3rd). My infant blanket (Old Shale white baby shawl) was displayed wrong-side out. Whatever. ? Anyway, that’s the story on the competition. ? We had planned to eat there, but the smells were overwhelming (and not in a good way). No one was eating. . . 2 bottles of water. $6. But the weather was beautiful. There were a couple of vendors at the far edges that were selling Confederate flags and such, and one that offered photos by what supposedly was the sign from a former Atlantic City casino and a cardboard cut-out of the former owner of said casino. We declined. ? ? Ann in PA ?
