Anybody heard anything? ? I have 12 “own forever” coupons for classes that I earned. ? I hope I get to choose them. ? ?. ? I should have a long time ago. ?
I keep hoping that someone will step in and buy the company and put it all back to the old Craftsy. ?

I am recording the classes I consider critical. It is time consuming but I'm not waiting for them to give me a download option. if they do, I'll download all the classes. But there are ones I don't want to lose

I have not tried it yet, but a local friend found directions at https://sewmodernbags.com for downloading her classes using a software called Allavsoft.

It would be good if you tried it. I tried the free?version and it couldn't log me into Bluprint. Someone?said they paid and it worked. But given how many of those things didn't work for me, I'm reluctant to try it. I did find a video downloader that worked but the recorded video was awful - choppy and the audio?and video didn't match.?
The screen recording from the Mac OS screenshot app works beautifully. I get good quality video and sound. It is time consuming but I'm putting it on and doing other things as it records.
Frankly I want good quality or I'm not going to watch the videos again.

p.p.s. Rumor on Ravelry is that the Bluprint?classes are being rolled into Peacock TV due to some tweets made by Peacock that were?screenshotted but have been?now deleted. That may have been an option that they considered and rejected thereby closing it down, or it still may be part of the strategy. I am not at all inclined to believe conspiracy theories but thought I'd pass this on.

No. They?have specifically written code to block that. On an Android tablet, people have figured?out how to interrupt the download, find the file and move it to someplace else because there is a temporary storage location.
But otherwise no.?
I bought the Allavsoft license yesterday because apparently the customer support will fix the login issue for paid licensees. I've emailed them as noted in the article but have not heard?back yet. If I don't hear within a week, I am going to contest it via Paypal and my credit card.?
Interestingly, I noticed that one of my archived classes is gone forever. I had downloaded it when they?allowed us to download classes earlier after a big ruckus when they suddenly?no longer allowed it. But i had not downloaded the materials as I could do so at any time. i was downloading those yesterday when I discovered that the class was simply gone. Not the greatest class but still. I wonder?how many others are like that.

My friend purchased the software, and said that customer support got her sorted out. She also said that if you do the Convert, make sure to set it to delete the original so you don’t fill up disk space with duplicates. This will likely be my project next week.

I do believe that if Bluprint does not offer an easy way for people who have “own forever” classes to download them, a big class action suit in in their future. ?
Many people are not tech savvy and aren’t going to be able to use or figure out these tricks. ? (Or theyre unwilling to spend all the time required to get something that they already own.)
I hope someone buys it. ?

Who would want to take over Bluprint?... if it was given them for free?? Could be a huge opportunity for the right collective ...? Trying to sell rather than "end" also explains why they kept selling subscriptions to the last day. Hopeful of closing a deal ... and yes, no question about the lawsuits on their current path. Glad I am not in their sneakers!

Patricia, Connie and others, I heard back from Allavsoft with a new link and I've downloaded one class and am in the process of downloading another. I'll forward their email to this list so you have the link. David (from Allavsoft) also has provided a link to download your whole library at once but I don't want to do that. I prefer to organize my videos as I download them and I'm moving them off to an external hard drive as I have too many videos?and photos on my laptop and I've already?run out of space and had to move to bunch of stuff. I don't want to have to do that and sort out the mess if this fails in the middle.?
I also don't need to download my whole?library?as many are already downloaded.?
Look for that post with the links

Chiming in here, a little late. I got the Allavsoft software and downloaded all my classes at once. It took about 20 hours. They are all labeled by class, each lesson is it’s own video but they have been easy to organize - far more efficient than doing them one by one. I have an external drive that I loaded them to directly. The quality is good and it all worked smoothly. Follow all the instructions on that bag-sewing blob post - you need to modify the default settings so that it doesn’t prompt you to download each lesson from each class - I think the option was to download the entire playlist.?
The space required for the final mp4s worked out to about 1GB per hour of recording.? - Shannon

The screen recording from the Mac OS screenshot app works beautifully. I get good quality video and sound. It is time consuming but I'm putting it on and doing other things as it records.
Frankly I want good quality or I'm not going to watch the videos again.
