?This yarn is really nice. (Hobby Lobby Yarntopia) I did several swatches and a 4.0 mm hook works great. Any smaller and it splits. Bigger looks floppy but still crochets great.
Here’s a few done.

Lovely, subtle tones!
And I remember now that you did tell us grand-daughter's name before. Very musical choice. In our family, everything gets shortened, so she would be "Allie" in no time. My nephew named their daughter "Clementine" but nobody, not even her parents, uses the full name. I admire people who manage to stick to their original choice (and persuade others to do it also).

Jenny I’m sure she will have a dozen nicknames. Lol. Little Waylon gets called Wayman, Waylonator, Way, etc.
I can hear Allie, Alliegator, Allie Girl, etc. DH comes up with some good ones.
Katie chose these colors for her nursery. I’m just glad I found a yarn with all of them. She really liked them when I showed her.
I have till Sunday to finish before her shower on Sunday. (I waited so late because Katie hadn’t picked her nursery colors till Saturday! I had to force her. )
Back to it! Connie

Lol. ?No speed demon here!. ?This is 24 of the 144 I need to get to 36” x 36”

Hi Jenny
It’s faster in some respects. ?But it really depends on the pattern—just like knitting. ?? If the crochet pattern includes a lot of multi-loop stitches, it can take longer. Puff stitches or bobble stitches are time consuming.?
Just as in knitting, an intricate lace pattern can take a long time to complete a round. ?
