Photo resistor P588 G50 201B signed PH1 and PH2, where to find orig part/replacement?

Greetings,

Hope all is well with everyone. Regarding a previous post on different volume outputs on the L+R of my CS-80, a competent tech locally helped me diagnose a faulty photo resistor on the PRA as the likely culprit (we swapped two and the problem moved from one channel to the other).

It's the photo resistor P588 G50 201B marked as PH1, PH2 in the schematic, does anyone know where I can find an original part or a modern replacement?

best,

Mathias

I spoke with a very helpful representative of the company that originally manufactured them. They had the part in their?database but could not help with the specifications as the product was just too old.

I recently had a CS-80 here in the shop with bad components in both L&R in the expression pedal position. In?the end, I purchased old CS-60 PRA cards and robbed the parts off those. :(

Hi Scott,

Many thanks for the reply. Hmmm, sounds like I have yet another endless quest on my hand here, these CS-80s are certainly no walk in the park to fix and maintain. Will check with Kent Spong if he knows anything about the missing part, scour this forum for info and keep an eye on PRAs on eBay.

Thanks again!

Mathias

Does anyone know if the photo resistors that are in the E-30, E-50, or E-70 etc. might work in a CS-series synth?

Any other parts from those that fit the CS? The switch bank on the E-70 looks similar to what is on the CS-80 for example.
