CS80 Trade
Murilo Faria
Hi, guys, unfortunately things here in Brazil is real complicated and, after 8 year with a CS80 not outputting any sound, I'll get rid of my CS80 (please do not convince me the opposite).? I'm looking for a good deal, so I'm here to check with you guys which synth you would trade for a "broken" CS80 (It turns on, but no sound output. Lot's of the best technicians tried to figure it out without success)? . I have the option of an Arp 2600, Polymoog, Memorymoog. Do you guys think is a fare trade? Any other options? I like A LOT the EMS Synthi AKS but don't know if the guy who owns it would trade... Thanks! -- Murilo Faria (Mura) |

No Polymoogs or Memorymoogs (exception LAMM). An ARP 2600 must be in excellent shape - especially in regards of the faders. An Oberheim Fourvoice (or even Eightvoice) might be soundwise an equivalent exchange for a CS80, but also these are very risky investments... I think the environmental conditions in Brazil (humidity temperatur) can be extremely difficult for all this old gear. Mostly all connectors and potentiometers of the old gear may not stand such conditions over a longer time. Florian -- |

Hi, Boops! Unfortunately the CS80 is heavy and shipping costs here in Brazil are ridiculous...
