Re: Request to join yamahacs80 approved
Thanks, Florian! Glad you like my band :) Yeah... I have the tech guy, but it's the only one and he is... fully booked. I'll have to wait and he is not fast (he took 4 years to "repair" part of

Re: Request to join yamahacs80 approved
Hello Murilo, It is cruel to say, but I think owning a CS80 without having a competent tech within reach does not make real sense. When you say, that you had it repaired already, while you owned it,

Re: Request to join yamahacs80 approved
My name is Murilo from Brazil and I have a Yamaha CS80 for around 7 years. In those 7 years it’s been through repair and now I have no sound out of it. The CS80 powers normally, but no sound… Only

Re: Yamaha CS-60 issues: sub osc LFO > VCO not working + random bad notes
Thank you so much!! I found the toggle switch and flipped it other direction, and sure enough the LFO > VCO slider now affects the sound! :)? Thankfully no fix is required... now to keep my eyes on

Re: Yamaha CS-60 issues: sub osc LFO > VCO not working + random bad notes
There should be a push button and a toggle switch. The instructions say to add them on the front panel below the tuning

Re: Yamaha CS-60 issues: sub osc LFO > VCO not working + random bad notes
Thanks for the reply... do you mean the MIDI kit adds a toggle switch for LFO > VCO modulation? If so, where would I find that switch to change it back? The seller showed me an emergency switch for

Re: Yamaha CS-60 issues: sub osc LFO > VCO not working + random bad notes
Hello Sounds like a voice getting out of tune. Might be a bad trimmer, but more likely a VCO chip dying. I recommend to add a LED to each voicecard, with which you can detect, which voice is used:

Re: Yamaha CS-60 issues: sub osc LFO > VCO not working + random bad notes
This is normal. With the added toggle switch one way, the slider works normally. With it the other way, the LFO -> VCO is control via MIDI mod wheel.

Yamaha CS-60 issues: sub osc LFO > VCO not working + random bad notes
Hi all, I have a Yamaha CS-60 I recently acquired from a local seller that has MIDI kit installed. 1. Upon testing I noticed the sub oscillator LFO > VCO slider does not work/effect the sound

Re: CS50 Calibration
Hello There is simple help for this. Add a LED driven by the gate of each voicecard: http://www.florian-anwander.de/yamaha_cs60/ Someone once said, this might affect the behaviour of the Gate

Tom S. from this list originally ran me through this process. This is my version of his notes (thanks Tom!) You can probably skip sections 1 and 2: the 4volts on the KAS board and the '0'volts on

Re: CS50 Calibration
Hi Roby, I followed the cs80 guidelines and it was pretty straight forward. Calibrating 4 voices isnt so bad! The trick is to follow tje voices as they cycle through. Each time.you powerup the unit it

Thank you so much for the instructions. What I am worried is damaging the felt covering. How or what did you use to pull it up? It seems very well glued in there. Regards John

Here’s the instructions I used when I replaced one several years ago. Worked great. There is nothing very special you need to do the ribbon spring. First remove the Flock or felt covering. Remove
