SynthOffenders - Tim Coniff - BUYER BEWARE
Unfortunate to do this here but I feel the need to put out a public warning against this guy.
He charged me around $300 for one of his unison boards and has come up with nothing but a bunch of

Re: Photo resistor P588 G50 201B signed PH1 and PH2, where to find orig part/replacement?
Does anyone know if the photo resistors that are in the E-30, E-50, or E-70 etc. might work in a CS-series synth?
Any other parts from those that fit the CS? The switch bank on the E-70 looks similar

Hi Scott,
Many thanks for the reply. Hmmm, sounds like I have yet another endless quest on my hand here, these CS-80s are certainly no walk in the park to fix and maintain. Will check with Kent Spong

Re: Photo resistor P588 G50 201B signed PH1 and PH2, where to find orig part/replacement?
I spoke with a very helpful representative of the company that originally
manufactured them. They had the part in their database but could not help
with the specifications as the product was just too

Photo resistor P588 G50 201B signed PH1 and PH2, where to find orig part/replacement?
Greetings,
Hope all is well with everyone. Regarding a previous post on different volume outputs on the L+R of my CS-80, a competent tech locally helped me diagnose a faulty photo resistor on the PRA

Re: Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
Greetings guys,
Thanks for the info on the FC7 and the heads up on the FC4. I'm considering buying one of Syntaur's CVP-100 pedal, as they at least list it as functioning with a CS-80. Will shoot

Thanks for the info Scott. Could you possibly share that mod?
DId the original pedals have specific model numbers?
best,

Re: Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
Yes, the FC7 works ok. The bad part is there's a lot of change from
full-off pedal to half-pedal, and then not much change from half-pedal to
full pedal. It's not the nice, even throw you get with a

Re: Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
Hi,
Doesn’t the FC7 / CB 83742 volume pedal work with the Yamaha CS-50/60/80? Please correct me if I am wrong (now I’m curious). I think those are not so difficult to obtain.
And FC4 for

Re: Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
Now I'm relieved, at least a little bit.
You might want to try and have a go at the pedal of the SY-1 -- it works as a swell pedal with the CS50 so it should work with a CS80 as well.

Re: Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
...and thanks Stephen, I promise no YC organ will loose it's pedal! It's not mine to mess with in any case, just thought if it worked with a CS-80, I could have a tech reverse engineer it of sorts and

Thanks Florian, I'll see if I can have a tech build or mod a pedal for me.
Best, Mathias

Re: Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
Since the YC's swell pedal is hardwired to the unit, it can only be used with a CS synth when ripping it from an organ first. Which would be a bloody shame.
A while ago, I posted a similar

Yamaha YC-45D organ expression pedal usable with a CS-80?
Greetings,
I hope this message finds everyone in the forum well. A friend of mine has the YC-45D organ, and I noticed that the expression pedal is very similar to the one that originally came with

Yes you're correct, I actually meant transistors. So will include all that in my Mouser order, thanks a lot!

I usually get the cut strips, but any will do.
I believe you mean the transistors, not the resistors in your last
sentence? If so, for power transistors in the CS-80 I use:

Great idea! So right, with your p/n references i found the molex plug on Mouser, but the socket terminals gives 3 different results (regular, ‘cut strip’, and also ‘mouser reel’).I dont really
