FT-920 CAT control issues
Hello all,
Wondering if anyone here has experience with programs being able to use CAT control of an FT-920?? I recently acquired one and want to use it for digital modes (among others) and while I can get it to transmit and receive properly (using a Signalink) I cannot get WSJTX or N1MM to talk with it.? I don't ever see the CAT icon on the display (flashing or otherwise) and the programs time out waiting for a response.? I've tried with a couple different usb to serial adapters with different chipsets (FTDI and Prolific) as well as different operating systems (linux and windows) but haven't been able to get anything to connect.? I have also reset the 920 a couple of different ways per the manual but that didn't seem to help either. Any help troubleshooting is appreciated! -Paul AE6MQ |

The old FT920 here had worked well with the?DXLabSuites set of applications, including their CAT app, labeled DXCommander (aka) Commander.? ? Pls see below comments.
? DXLab likewise has a 开云体育 list-serve where there are many qualified participants to lend you expert advice, as well as other advice that's not so expert.? Please see:??/g/DXLab/topics? .? That? Groups,io web page has a SEARCH function, and if you enter FT920 in the search field, you'll be pleased to see lots of Q&A commentary, some related to CAT control. That's about all the advice I can pass along to you, Paul.? Good luck.? //Mark? ? ..w2or.. |
Thanks for that recommendation.? I haven't had time to try out the software, but most of the commentary on the groups link provided seems to be about setting up the serial port configurations which I've spent lots of time fiddling with in other software.? -Paul AE6MQ On Sat, Nov 13, 2021 at 2:29 AM Mark W2OR via <reston2010mm-orders=[email protected]> wrote: The old FT920 here had worked well with the?DXLabSuites set of applications, including their CAT app, labeled DXCommander (aka) Commander.? ?
