No LSB or CW RX

 

Hi
I have a FT-301D from new.
Lately sometime I use it the LSB setting is dead in RX and TX on all bands
USB is ok AM is ok.
I also think CW is dead in RX but seems ok in TX.
Then another day it works ok.
Where should I start looking?
I cleaned all the plug-in boards and switches.

The lab crystal may not be starting reliably….old age….may need to try varying the ?capacitors in its circuit.

Hi Dave
I hit the LSB crystal with a little bit of cold spray.
LSB came right on!
Then I touched up the soldering in the area and cleaned the board (it looked fine though).
So far its been working great. LSB and CW are back !
