L2 RF Choke

 

Does anyone know a suitable replacement for choke L2?? I have a radio that I am trying to repair that has one that is burnt. The parts list in the service manual lists it as a 35 uh choke with a Yaesu part number. I found a 33 uh choke and was wondering if that is close enough in value. Thanks in advance

I would think a 33uh should be fine.

I am not sure. when I turned the power on the plastic insulation that was around it would start to smoke. I replaced it with a new one and so far all is good. Maybe it was just old and worn out.?
