GPS/GPX file points of interest
Greetings.
That's an interesting question. At the present time, YAAC only reads the tracks from a GPX file (both for the Drawing layer in core YAAC and for routes in the Dynamic Objects plugin), so the waypoints in the file you provided would be ignored. I could probably add code to read the waypoints and turn them into Private-scope local Objects on the map. Let me look into it and get back to you. I can only seem to get the tracks to show up not the included POI. Maybe there is a switch I have missed. I have attached a sample file for you to review. Thanks, Scott - W2KP |
One further question: were you reading the GPX file into a drawing in core YAAC, or as a route in the Dynamic Objects plugin?

I have tried two ways but I think they are the same.? 1. I go to file->load->drawing and 2. I have turned on the drawing layer then imported from there.? I am guessing that it is the same thing.? I have not tried the dynamic object plugin.? But now I need to. It won't be any better with the plugin; they both ignore waypoints right now.
