Start up in Small Screen
Finally got around to playing with the APRS in my truck. I thought I had updated it, but found it was still on 174. Did the update to 186 and everything says up to date. However, now when it starts up, it comes up with the regular map instead of in small screen mode. I checked the startup command and it still says -gui:small. Did something change?

Yes, I broke something when invoking plugin-provided first GUI windows in YAAC in build#185, so the only alternate first windows you can use with the -gui option are the ones built into YAAC. I'm currently working on fixing it, and hope to have it resolved in a couple days.

Okay. I usually mess things up, so I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. Makes me feel better it wasn't me for a change.

Yes, it did. I was a bit confused on updates. I think I ran into this before. Each time I click check for updates, it says updates are needed for various plugins, smallscreen, repeaterfinder, and sample something. It seems to go back and forth through the different versions. I'm not sure which versions I should be running. Still trying to figure out the auto-center. Sometimes it was on after restart, sometimes it wasn't. I thought the home button would toggle it, but that does not seem to happen. Maybe my faulty memory about that and it isn't supposed to work that way. Anyhow, it looks like all is suitable for our big event coming up this weekend. Michael WA7SKG Andrew P. wrote on 9/19/23 5:40 AM: Hi, Michael. |
开云体育Drat. Sounds like I forgot to update the version files on Sourceforge.net, so if your YAAC gets through to my personal website one time and Sourceforge.net the other time, YAAC will be told that different versions are the latest version.Powered by Cricket Wireless Get From: yaac-users@groups.io <yaac-users@groups.io> on behalf of Michael WA7SKG <wa7skg@...>

Interesting. I just looked at my main desktop setup. It shows:

Plugin Current Available smallscreen v0.9j v0.9j smallscreen v0.1 v0.9j smallscreen v1.1.9a v0.9j Are there three different smallscreen plugins? Just checked the websites. No problems with the version numbers in the file. So it could be a refresh problem in the plugin "store" table, as in, after you update the plugin, the table gets reordered and doesn't refresh properly. Try closing the Install Plugins window and re-opening it, and see if the version numbers and plugins make sense.

I'm still confused. When I open the About YAAC window, it says I have Small Screen v0.9j, Sample V0.1, RepeaterFinder V0.15 and Bikestats V0.2a

If I click the "Check for Updates" it only shows four smallscreen entries, with one up to date and three needing updating. If I go ahead and say update, when it is done, then, if I clcik check for updates again, it shows the sample plugin. If I update that, then it will show repeaterfinder. If I open the Install plugin window, the only one it shows as installed is smallscreen, the other plugins do not show as installed. My head is spinning. 开云体育Yes, that implies there is a bug in the update display. I'll look at it.
The About dialog is the accurate source of what plugins you are running right now.
