Re: Xpander sysex
Do you mean a single value- such as Osc Freq, or Filter cutoff?

I can't do this from work- but you can easily do this yourself. Get the free program such as Midiox (Windows Only). If you're on a Mac, there's Bomes, but it's not free. I think it has a free eval period though. There must be some free systex utils for the Mac though. Enable the appropriate Midi In ports, enable Sysex in Midiox. Make sure the Xpander is set to transmit sysex. Once you have everything set correctly, turn the knob of the parameter you want to change. You should see the sysex string in the Midiox window. The Xpander/M12 have an option to echo every (or darn near every) parameter change to the Midiout connector. It's just a matter of having a program to catch & display this. Re: Real-Time Tone Editor for Xpander
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWell, it?s good idea, but I never had probs to edit my gear from their surfaces UI, so also not the Xpander. In the end, much of success will depend on how effective a software editor is in a DAW environment. The biggest drawback might come up when the last 8x8 MIDI interface dies and/ or 64Bit drivers aren?t available and you upgrade to a 64Bit system, which most will near future. That will be the moment outboard MIDI gear cannot be connected to a PC anymore except it has USB. Sad but true. Am 18.08.2010 17:03, schrieb envia94: ? |

Thanks and good luck with the development. In my opinion this is one of the best ideas related to Xpander!

I'm the guy behind Xplorer. I don't make too much buzz on it since I have a very few free time to work on. As you can see the main features are implemented, but I do not want to release an unfinished software and to be overhelmed with bug submissions, feature requests and making support for it. Since the first post about it on MatrixSynth on year ago or so, I made the website and some Youtube demos just to let people know what is going on with it. So please be patient, and check sometimes the website (website is in english) for news. /Greg. --- In xpantastic@..., <repoman123@...> wrote:

Re: Matrix-12 / Xpander - switches replacement?
For everyone here in the group:
Today, we soldered a sample of: Marquardt Switch 6425.1101 into my Xpander. Its 100% pin and form factor compatible and fits perfectly ! [mode]=detail&tx_productkatalog_pi1[modifier]=0&tx_productkatalog_pi1[value]=6425&tx_productkatalog_pi1[pointer]=1&cHash=15e3636755 The Oberheim switch top covers/caps dont fit (not mounting pin compatible),- so one has to buy switches (no LED) and related top covers in black as well as the numbered ones for the keypad, the + and - as well as the orange one. I germany, youll get everything at Conrad and here In other countries please look for dealers in your region. good news for me and eventually for yall too PeWe |

I just received some switches from Doug. Nice and easy transaction! Now all I need is a replacement encoder and I will have a 100% working Matrix-12! --- In xpantastic@..., "baumont987" <geebeex@...> wrote:

would ALPS part # STEC16B04 work to replace the encoders? Looks like they are about $2.50 USD each from Taiwan

You can try to contact Doug at KICS USA (kicsusa @ aol? dot com), he still had some switches 2 years ago, I was able to order some from him in... 2007. See my message about it: --- In xpantastic@..., "mirror_saw7778" wrote:
