Re: Intro and questions
I do have 2 Xpander DACs left in stock and the 3372s. I also have a few 3340s and 3360s if you need them Rob. I am out of 3374s and beware that the ones on ebay from that Chinese seller are fakes

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
Karl, The mod matrix page is accessed through the "Misc" page, correct? So the implementation is based on hardware that already exists on the Xpander i.e. you wouldn't be giving up any other buttons.

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
would need development tools from that era, I'm sure these are still available. I know of people doing 6809 development, but it's higher-level languages. Hitachi makes a 3 (or4??) MHZ pin compatible

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
You mean,- w/ a Matrix-12, if you?ve set up any quantized modulation or quantized portamento, these settings would be canceled by accessing the modulation page ? Really ? If yes and I?d know this as

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
I think, it is a well designed, relatively intuitive to use and reliable machine as it is. I never needed the mod-matrix display of a Matrix-12 in my Xpander since I buyed it in the late 80th because

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
Hi Matt, I should have been more clear. I am assuming the digital boards of both the Xpander and the M12 are the same. I really don't know if they are, but if so, it would seem you could take a set of

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
Hi Tony, Well, you could do alot if the software was rewritten. But to do that you would need development tools from that era, like a 6809 Emulator/debug system and so forth. To me it would be easier

'Great??Sounds BTW.?? You didn't waste anytime gettin deep into the programming.' Heh, thanks Karl- I use a modular setup too so the xpander feels like home already. Incredible interace on this

Re: Intro and questions
Might leave off the DAC for now, though since there is only one in it I may be better off just going for it... cheers for the screen tip, mine is showing no signs of age atm but I may well grab a

Hello Andy, Great?Sounds BTW.? You didn't waste anytime gettin deep into the programming. You might want to get?the?backup battery for the memory replaced. It is still available, but is a lithium

Re: Intro and questions
Hi there, just the one DAC in the Xpander- i dont think you have to have one for spares, but they seem to be a hard to find part, so if you want to get one as a precaution then it might be a good

Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
Karl, I presume you are talking about the 6 cv/gate inputs (not the CV pedal inputs, which I assume the M12 has as well)? If so, there is no direct CV-as-mod-source ability now, so I'm not sure why
By mattvrazo · #911 ·
Re: Why no Xpander mod. matrix implementation?
A certain key combination at power on would decide if the user wants CV inputs or Matrix Mod display. Additionally, a dedicated button press would be needed to enable the Matrix Mod display, but this

Hey, Thanks for that, Ive spoken to a couple of those people already funnily enough (benden and synthparts. You think the DAC is worth having a spare one of too then? Is there one of those inside or 6

Re: Intro and questions
Nice demos there Andy. The CEM chips labels are 3374 for the dual vco and 3372 for the vcf chip, i think you will be able to find the 3372 filter chips quite easily on ebay, but the dual vco chip is
