Yesterday I activated POTA (US-0495 *correction) naturally, we fussed with antenna tuning.

Using an expensive analyzer we tuned the antenna length & feed to the freq with good results.

My question is - Afterward, when I ran the SWR app on my X-6100, the results were very spiky. It showed a proper minimum where we'd tuned for resonance, the graph was all over the place otherwise.

Why is the SWR curve not smooth? Shouldn't it be a "U" shape with minimum at resonance? I feel like there is an issue with the software on the radio...

The thought occurs to 'narrow' the scanned range? I haven't tried that...
