New version 0.19.0 #R1CBU-Firmware

randy, k8zfj

i'm noob to the 6100, and have had no trouble getting it all set up with latest version of the xiegu FW.
yes the decoder isnt perfect, but most arent, so its just best to rely on the decoder between our ears IMHO.

Okay, Oleg. Please take the time to get it correct. We can wait.

Now it’s difficult to say when it will be ready. Hardware development is progressing very quickly, and the firmware is 90% ready. Let's see how things go further

The work is in full swing. The electronics engineer completes the circuit and layout of the main board. There is a design for the case. I'm writing firmware on a development board.

I'd like to add my thanks to you Oleg for all of your hard work in turning the x6100 from a good machine into a great machine!? I like your firmware a lot more than the stock, and it works great for me.? No complaints and MANY THANKS!!!

Please keep us updated on your new radio!

It works. But I’ll do it even better especially for you in the next version. The next version will be the last. I've started working on my own DDC/DUC transceiver and don't want to waste any more time on the X6100.

If Morse decoding is essential, you should maybe consider paying for a commercial Morse decoder.
There is also a very good Android app Morse Expert, and it's free.
I assume Oleg is developing his X6100 fw on his spare time.

To me it is essential. I am only in CW on air.
You did a nice programming at all.
Please take a look on the CW decoding section.
Thank you so much.

A very good CW decoder automaticaly recognizes and set/adjust the speed ,
automatically adjusts to the signal level (set the audio treshold)
and has a ( small range ) automatic audio frequency tracking. (AFC)
The cw decoder in version 0.17 seems to have worked in the same way.
But unfortunately since version 0.19 this is over nand out ...
?
Take a look at the Android-App. :? Morse Expert .
This app works perfect .
This app is doing the same like I have? described before on the top of this message .
?
I compared the cw-decoder of the FTDX-10 .
The decoder there is a complete big shit gadget ... he can nothing - only that you spent most of times
with manually adjustments , searching for the best settings for get some signs decoded ... hi ...
...it is a big blame and big shame for YAESU !
?
Normaly I don`t need an cw-decoder , I can? better decode with my ears til 50 wpm.
I use the decoder only for relaxed monitoring and so I see every error from the decoder .

Jens,
CW decoder works with V19... for me. You have to adjust speed close to that received and it takes a while to sync up. Other than that, it works quite well.

The OS firmware might work in one x6100 and not in another.
This goes with my (IMO) idea that there MIGHT have been production? changes in manufacturing the radios.
Just something to ponder.
