Message record

 

Been trying to record a message. It records, but cannot hear on play. Latest firmware from Xiegu installed. Anyone else having a problem?
 

This is one of the features that are buggy in stock firmware. That's why I've moved to R1CBU/R2RFE firmware, where this message recording works like a charm.
 

With OEM firmware you can try to fix it with replacing within /etc/init.d/S51amixer
amixer -c 0 sset 'Mic1 Boost',0 0 1> /dev/null
with
amixer -c 0 sset 'Mic1 Boost',0 1 1> /dev/null
?
This enables mic boost for audio comes from BASE to MAIN (messages recording, CW decoding)
