For Sale: X6100 & XPA-125B

David Salomon, AG4F

Hello group!? If for sale is not permitted in this group, please let me know and I will delete this post.
?
I have a several year old X6100 in great condition.? I just recently replaced the battery, so it is like new (charged only once since replacement).? Because these radios occasionally stick in transmit, I added a mini reed switch in the battery line, hot glued to the case.? If it ever sticks in transmit, you don't have to open the case and disconnect the battery, just put a magnet by the switch, which disconnects the battery and you can reboot the radio.? Oddly, since I added the switch, the radio has never gotten stuck in transmit again.? The radio has current firmware.? Included is an AC adapter to power the radio.
?
I also have a like-new XPA-125B, used only once with the X6100 to test it.
?
Finally, I have a waterproof case from Radioddity to hold both the radio and amp (I removed all the foam so they would both fit).
?
Pictures available on request.
?
$750 + shipping for all.? I prefer Zelle, but may accept other means of payment.
?
Contact me via this list if interested.

David,
?
Your in-line 'mini reed switch for reset with magnet' is brilliant!

I've had the X6100 get "stuck" in xmit during ft8, and found that all I needed to do was press the PTT button on the top left of the case. The microphone PTT might work as well. Never tried.

Thanks, Andy.

Re: Pushing the PTT, I tried that, and many other ways to get it out of transmit, none of which worked on my unit.? The very small magnetic switch is simply hot glued on the case, doesn't affect the operation (or the case standing up) and is a very quick way to reset it without the aggravation of removing the battery panel and disconnecting the battery.

BTW, if you using OEM GUI and your radio part is stuck for some reason, but GUI still alive and you have a PSU connected - you can start upgrade firmware from the UI. This procedure perform a hard reset of the BASE part, which may recover your radio in most cases without disassembly.
