New release XEphem 3.7.7

Hello everyone,

I've finally collected the (few) changes since 3.7.6 and released version 3.7.7. You can get it at the usual place:?. Everything is laid out much the same as before so this change should be pretty smooth.?Please let me know of any issues you may find.

Thanks for using XEphem.

Compiled fine on Debian unstable. It's been a while since I compiled
XEphem so I didn't have all the development packages and had to install:

sudo apt-get install x11proto-print-dev libxp-dev

After installing the executable, I realized I hadn't updated my
catalogs in a while, so I did some diffing to make sure I wasn't
overwriting any of the catalogs I have from the paid version,
and just happened to notice this line in Messier.edb:

M6|NGC 6405|OCL 1030|ESO 455-SC30|Butterly cluster,f|O|T3,17:40:20,-32:15:0,4.2,2000,1980

Should that be "Butterfly" rather than "Butterly"?

Thanks, as always, for XEphem!

Great catch! I'll make the change and start a new release candidate ready in another three years :-)

BTW, the gentleman mentioned in that catalog,?Guillermo Andrade, who did a lot of great data preparation for me over the years, was shot and killed in a robbery a few years ago. He was just waiting in a shop for morning donuts when suddenly a robbery went very wrong. I was stunned to hear the news from his widow and still feel the pain to this day. The world is such a mixture of the great and the terrible.

Have a good day everyone, you never know what will happen.

Elwood?
