Re: Problems with MacOSX

Here's my otool output, seems to be identical. Weird, this used to work for me too, although I think I was using 3.5.1 earlier.

bash-2.05$ otool -L /usr/local/bin/xephem
/usr/local/bin/xephem:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXp.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.2.0, current version 6.2.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.0.0, current version 6.0.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.4.0, current version 6.4.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.2.0, current version 6.2.0)
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 55.0.0)
bash-2.05$

Hugh

Maybe there is an older version of something that is getting mixed in?

Maybe it matters that I am running a Cube, and you have a PowerBook?

Maybe there is a library version skew somewhere. Here is the output of
"otool -L xephem" on my system, see anything different?
xephem:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXp.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.2.0,
current version 6.2.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.0.0,
current version 6.0.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.4.0,
current version 6.4.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.2.0,
current version 6.2.0)
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0,
current version 55.0.0)

Other than this, I'm fresh out of ideas. All this XonX stuff has
worked well for me from the beginning so I really have not explored
much what sorts of things can cause trouble. I have not encountered
your error message.

Any ideas out there??
