the "dear lazyweb" thing...

Does ExpressPCB offer stencils as part of their board service?

HI Dennis,
My only PCB experiences have been with ExpressPCB, and I'm not sure exactly what you mean by stencils in this context. One can check the box when ordering to get a ZIP file with the Gerbers, etc.

Some board houses will create a thin steel stencil which is used to
"paint" solder paste onto just the pads before adding the assorted smd
parts. It's supposed to be a lot easier to do than syringing paste onto
pads individually, although I haven't actually tried it yet.

OK, I see. Thanks for explaining. Makes perfect sense now.

I've used their prototyping services and small-quantity production services many times, and have not ever received or been offered an option for stencils.
