Re: Has anyone fully decoded the X9000 memory mapping?
Found the YouTube channel - Casey Crane. Thanks for the tip! Hi Dennis, I havent looked at your syntorxgen source code. Do you derive the hex values from a formula or use a lookup table? I remember some SyntorX codeplug layout data on a site..Xbits something? that's gone now. I thinks Mike B. replicated the info on his site. |

X9000 having a physical code plug. Wasn't it programmable via a cable? I never had any X9000 radios myself. 73's Skip WB6YMH On Thu, Jul 28, 2022 at 12:53 PM Dennis Boone <drb@...> wrote:

I *think* that included DPLPretty sure the DPL coding for the '9000 is the same as the 'X. Formula for that is in the syntorxgen source. ISTR hearing that the '9000 code plug has a copyright statement and some executable code in it somewhere that are necessary for proper operation. De |

I assume you guys know about the great web resource on Syntor/X/9000 stuff, onfreq.com... http://www.onfreq.com/syntorx/syntorx9k/index.html 73 Brad KB9BPF On Thursday, July 28, 2022, 01:55:55 PM CDT, swguest via groups.io <swguest@...> wrote: Hey Casey, how's tricks? |

Has anyone fully decoded the X9000 memory mapping?
Being the X9000s are still plentiful and I have a few I would be interested in working on a similar type of device for them. I started working on figuring out the memory mapping and another individual sent me some info he figured out but there is still quite a bit left to be figured out. This makes me wonder if anyone has a source for decoding what all the various bits do.?

Re: Status of new Xcat boards
Hi Jeff,
As far as a new build nothing has changed. This weekend I need to find something else in my disaster of a garage and I'll see if I can't find my stash. I have 4 xcats somewhere in there! I'm surprised I can even find my car at times. If I can find my stash I'll put them on ebay and announce them here. 73's Skip WB6YMH On Fri, Jul 22, 2022 at 6:07 AM Jeff ex kg2bz now N2IA via groups.io <humveejeff@...> wrote:

As far as I know Lee is still planning on one more batch, but it's anyone's guess when. I *know* I have some Xcats in my garage, but I haven't been able to find them. When/if I do I'll put them up on ebay and announce them here. I had forgotten about the Piexx product ... If you need something soon you should probably go for it. 73's Skip WB6YMH On Sat, May 22, 2021 at 4:49 PM <Tyrell@...> wrote:

I need 3... Is a final batch still coming??
?
Piexx is selling off the last of their stock, and seem to be down to 2 units of the SyntorX Revival and none of their flash kits... I would really prefer a xcat, especially now that they don't have enough units for my needs. |
