S.E.T. and makerfaire with ARES/RACES

ARRL's simulated emergency test is 10/5. ARES/RACES will be doing HF voice and winlink to St. Lawrence county hospitals because they are part of Rochester Regional Health. W2SKY is a key player and anyone else is welcome to participate. We'll be simulating a regional outage of phone,internet and power. Makerfaire is at RIT this year 11/16 and we hope to have more of a real station on the air this year. The kids would love to see/hear your code keys and QSL cards and any homemade ham gear. MC ARES/RACES is a small group but we like to get out and do things like Mammoth March, a 20 mile 8 hour hike around Letchworth Park last month. We provided communications for health and safety along the course.
