SURVIVOR SERIES KEEPS BREAKING RECORDS- Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver was the 63rd sellout of the year for WWE and continues the record-breaking trend that the company has set throughout 2024. The announced attendance was of 17,828 and with high ticket prices, it has broken the all-time arena gate record in North America. WWE will be back in Canada in March for the Elimination Chamber at the Rogers Centre, which was previously known as the SkyDome. This will be the first WWE event in the location since WrestleMania X8 which had The Rock vs Hulk Hogan as one of its main matches. CONTINENTAL CLASSIC CONTINUES- The Continental Classic tournament continued yesterday on Collision with three matches taking place. In the first match of the night, Will Ospreay defeated Juice Robinson in the gold league to earn his first three points. PENTA EL ZERO MIEDO NOW A FREE AGENT- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that Penta El Zero Miedo is now a free agent with his AEW contract expired. The popular Mexican star has not wrestled on AEW television since the July 17 episode of Rampage and after that, it became clear that he and his brother Fenix were not interested in renewing their AEW deal. Fenix, on the other hand, is stuck in AEW as the company has extended his contract to make up for his injured time but there are no plans to use him on television until his deal runs out sometime in mid-2025. While an ugly tactic, it's a tactic that has been used by WWE as well and this will keep Fenix away from reuniting with his brother in WWE. The 39-year-old Penta is expected to sign with WWE after five years with AEW. He has never worked for WWE before. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |
