Last year, the winners from the blue and gold leagues took on each other to determine the Continental Classic winner, however, this year there is an extra step added. Now, the gold league winner will take on the runner up from the blue league while the blue league winner will take on the runner up from the gold league in a semi final match. The eventual winners of those two semi final matches will then meet each other with the winner taking possession of the AEW Continental title. These three matches will all take place on the same night at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December. CONTINENTAL CLASSIC TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF- The second Continental Classic tournament kicked off last night on the Thanksgiving eve episode of Dynamite live from Chicago, with three matches taking place. Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Syndicate defeated former ROH champion Mark Briscoe in the blue league, gaining three points. Claudio Castagnoli defeated Ricochet in the gold league to get himself three points and in the second gold league match of the night, Brody King defeated Darby Allin for another three points. Three matches will take place this weekend on Collision with Kazuchika Okada vs Daniel Garcia and Kyle Fletcher vs The Beast Mortos in the blue league plus Will Ospreay vs Juice Robinson in the gold league. DYNAMITE DOZEN BATTLE ROYAL RETURNING NEXT WEEK- The Dynamite Dozen battle royal returns on next week's episode of Dynamite with the winner advancing to a match at Winter Is Coming the following week. The 12 AEW stars in this battle royal will fight for a chance to take on MJF for the Dynamite Diamond ring, a ring which so far has stayed with MJF since its introduction. After winning the Dynamite Diamond ring in November 2019, MJF has successfully defended it every year. Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly are the first two entrants to officially enter this battle royal. SURVIVOR SERIES INCHING CLOSER TO 17,000 SELL-OUT- It's going to be big business for WWE this weekend at Survivor Series with the show inching closer to a complete legit sellout. With no stage setup, the Rogers Arena in Vancouver has 17,288 seats available and @WrestleTix is reporting that WWE has so far distributed 16,410 tickets as of today, with under 1,000 tickets left for a complete sell out. The cheapest tickets available are CA $193.50. Ringside seats have also dropped drastically in price and are available from CA $998.65 in second row or CA $750.80 for third row. The last time WWE came to Vancouver at the Rogers Arena was for Smackdown on January 5, 2024 where 13,157 fans turned up for the show. RAW RATING- WWE Raw this week drew an average of 1,509,000 viewers, down 7,000 viewers from last week's broadcast. The show faced a simulcast of NFL on ABC and ESPN which drew nearly 17 million viewers. The first hour of Raw started with just 1,478,000 viewers and then increased to 1,541,000 viewers in the second hour. Raw was #3 on the top 50 cable chart among the 18-49 demographic with a 0.47 average rating, down 0.02 from the prior week and #5 overall on all of television. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) NXT RATING- NXT this week drew 632,000 viewers, down 40,000 viewers from last week's broadcast. The show had a 0.15 rating in 18-49, down 0.04 and the lowest in a month.
