I've been part of some amazing experiences at wrestling shows, but I think being there to see Punk return is definitely in my top three. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at RHODES VS OWENS TO HEADLINE SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT- WWE announced that Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE title will be the headline match for the Saturday Night's Main Event show next month. The company is bringing back Saturday Night's Main Event as part of their new media rights deal with NBCUniversal, with the first show taking place on Saturday, December 14 live from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. This will be WWE's first show on network TV since Smackdown has moved away from FOX in September and the first WWE broadcast on NBC since 2008. It's the 37th installment of the SNME series. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.com. PEACOCK BLACK FRIDAY DEAL- Peacock is running a Black Friday deal where you can save 75% if you subscribe for a whole year with a price of just $19.99. There's also an option to get six months for $1.99 per month. The regular price is $79.99 per year or $7.99 per month so it's a pretty good saving if you're interested in watching WWE programming, including all premium live events, for cheap throughout 2025. This is a limited time offer and excludes current Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers. Of course, there's always workarounds for this, including subscribing with a different e-mail address. To get the offer, use the code REALDEAL for the annual offer or REALDEALMONTHLY for the monthly offer. You can take advantage of the Peacock Black Friday deal any time between now and December 2 at 3AM ET (Midnight PT). BEHIND THE SCENES FOOTAGE OF CM PUNK'S RETURN- On the one year anniversary of his return to WWE, a behind the scenes look at CM Punk's shocking appearance at last year's Survivor Series was published on the WWE's YouTube channel. The video starts with Punk getting escorted to Gorilla by Bruce Prichard as he meets William Regal, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Michael PS Hayes, and a select few others who were at the closed-off area before his music hit. After he comes out, footage shows Triple H sneaking behind the curtain, waiting for Punk to come back to congratulate him on his return. Punk then meets several other WWE Superstars backstage who were all eager to see him and waited to shake hands one by one of every star who was in the WarGames match, from the faces to the heels. Randy Orton jokingly tells Punk that he couldn't enjoy 10 minutes of his return before he was out-shined by Punk. Triple H then pulls Punk aside to tell him to pose for a photo together, a photo which Triple H put on X with the caption, "Mighty cold day i n hell." You can check out the cool 9-minute video at WWE MOVES OVER 44,000 TICKETS FOR ROYAL RUMBLE- WrestleTix is estimating that WWE has moved over 44,000 tickets for the Royal Rumble already just over a week after tickets went on sale to the general public. The first count stands at 44,500, with Lucas Oil Field stadium being set up for around 6,000 more seats. While the absolute majority of the seats in the stands were sold, the same cannot be said for those on the floor, where the most expensive tickets are. The floor sections remain largely empty and judging from previous stadium shows, they are the last ones to get sold simply because they are the ones which cost the most. Floor seats, so far away from the ring that you wouldn't be able to see anything, start from $400 while ringside will cost you up to $6,000 behind the commentary desks. The cheapest standard ticket is currently set at $275, while the cheapest verified resale ticket is $151. That is of course excluding taxes and fees. Some sections on the camera side of the stadium have been opened but Lucas Oil Field holds over 70,000 seats, so there will be a good chunk of the stadium closed off unless tickets really take off. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.com. PHOTO OPS FOR FANS AT SURVIVOR SERIES WEEKEND- WWE will be holding several photo ops on November 29 and 30 at BC Place as part of Survivor Series weekend. On Friday, Bianca Belair, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Dominik Mysterio, Gunther, Iyo Sky, Sami Zayn, and Sheamus will be available while on Saturday so far there are Bianca Belair, Bronson Reed, Dominik Mysterio, Gunther, Iyo Sky, and Sami Zayn. Prices range from CA$79.87 to CA$107.42. A printed copy of the photo will cost an additional CA$10.85 each. Times vary for their appearances and you can find more information and ordering information at . NXT STARS AT BLOODSPORT- Three NXT stars took part in Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XII event last night, joining other AEW and TNA stars on the same card. Karmen Petrovic defeated Sumie Sakai, Charlie Dempsey defeated Tracey Williams, while Myles Borne lost to Royce Isaacs. Other WWE stars have been on Bloodsport before as well, including former NXT Women's champion Shayna Baszler. Barnett seems to be the only person who can bring stars from all three major promotions under one roof, with TNA's Josh Alexander, Masha Slamovich, and AEW's MVP, Marina Shafir, and Jon Moxley all appearing as well. JON MOXLEY MAKES SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT BLOODSPORT- AEW World champion Jon Moxley made a surprise appearance at the Josh Barnett Bloodsport XII event last night. Moxley accompanied his Death Riders partner Marina Shafir for her match against Jody Threat, a match which Shafir won and extended her undefeated run to seven wins so far. This is not Moxley's first time appearing at Bloodsport and has actually main evented three events in the past. Fellow AEW star, MVP, was also in the main event, losing to Barnett via submission. After their match, MVP put over Barnett and thanked him for training with him throughout the past decade. CONTINENTAL CLASSIC PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED- The 12 entrants in this year's Continental Classic tournament were revealed yesterday night by AEW. Just like last year, the 12 stars will be split into two leagues, the blue and gold leagues, with each match having a 20-minute time limit. No interference is allowed and three points are assigned for a win and one point for a draw. The blue league will consist of AEW Continental champion Kazuchika Okada, TNT champion Daniel Garcia, Kyle Fletcher, The Beast Mortos, Mark Briscoe, and Shelton Benjamin. The gold league has Will Ospreay, Juice Robinson, Brody King, Ricochet, Darby Allin, and AEW Trios champion Claudio Castagnoli. The tournament kicks off this coming Wednesday on Dynamite and will conclude at the Worlds End pay-per-view. THE ROCK'S RED ONE MOVIE SLIPS TO #3- Dwayne Johnson's Red One Christmas movie slipped to the third place in the box office charts this weekend following the release of Wicked and Gladiator II. Red One had a $13 million weekend, sending its domestic total to $52,910,550. Internationally, the movie has $64,200,000 in box office revenue for a total of $117,110,550 worldwide. That falls massively short of the $250 million budget the movie had plus an additional $100 million in marketing. The cast also features Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons in the leading roles and it's directed by Jake Kasdan. The Rock is back with a second movie in theaters this week with the release of Moana 2, a movie which is expected to do better in box office revenue. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |
