//->> OPENING WORDS FROM THE EDITOR

While I get that the women's WarGames match is a collection of different feuds, I don't like that the Bloodline vs Bloodline match had the addition of Reed and for sure Rollins simply because it had to be 5 on 5. They have nothing to do with the Bloodline and it kinda ruined it for me. Maybe I'll be proven wrong...

LINDA MCMAHON TO BE NOMINATED SECRETARY OF EDUCATION
- Linda McMahon has got the nod to be the Secretary of Education according to CNN after she was passed on to be Secretary of Commerce by President-elect Donald Trump. Trump nominated McMahon's transition co-chair Howard Lutnick, the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, to lead the Commerce department. McMahon's reward comes after years of hard work for the Trump campaign and millions of dollars in donations. She was the Administrator of the Small Business Administration during his first term as president and in 2019 she took over the chair of America First Action, a Trump super PAC which raised millions of dollars for his campaign. The former WWE CEO and President donated over $7 million to Trump's latest campaign.

AEW FILES FOR TWO CHRISTMAS-RELATED TRADEMARKS
- AEW filed two new trademarks Christmas-related with the United States Patent and Trademark Office pertaining their two shows Dynamite and Collision. The terms Dynamite on 34th Street and Christmas Collision were both filed yesterday under goods and services for a wrestling show. With Christmas falling on a Wednesday this year, it's still not announced if Dynamite will air that day and if it does, it will be a taped episode and obviously, the Dynamite on 34th Street theme would be a perfect fit for the occasion. The last date so far visible on the AEW website is the December 18 Dynamite from Washington, DC.

AEW TO RUN SMALLER BUILDINGS IN 2025
- Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline is reporting that AEW will be running much smaller buildings next year and will be avoiding huge NBA arenas where they usually have less than 3,000 people in buildings that hold over 15,000. Alvarez says the delay in doing this is because of a production issue, where some of their set, namely the lighting rig that they use above the ring, was way too heavy for smaller buildings. The company is in the process of modifying their set and rig so they could fit the smaller buildings and 2025 will see a shift in their arena bookings. Apart from saving money from booking large NBA arenas, running smaller venues will look better for television and definitely sound better too than having a couple of thousands in a much larger venue. AEW attendance has been on the decline for a year and judging from the ticket advances of upcoming shows, the trend does not seem to be changing, at least for now.

RAMPAGE RATING
- Rampage also felt the wrath of Tyson vs Paul on Netflix as the show drew just 186,000 viewers, down 51,000 viewers from the prior week and the second-lowest number in the history of the show. Rampage had a 0.06 rating in 18-49, down 0.01 from the previous week and was #16 on the cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider)

REY MYSTERIO'S FATHER PASSES AWAY
- WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio announced in a post on social media that his father, Roberto, passed away on Sunday. Mysterio wrote a touching tribute to his dad, who said that he did more than set the example of how to love and maintain a strong marriage and father four boys. "Excellent husband, loving father, beautiful grandfather, incredible son & brother, and amazing father in law. You checked every list on the box and can honestly say my majority trates I picked up from you," Mysterio continued. "You fought until the very last minute and know that your biggest fear was leaving Moms behind, but I can assure you that she will not be alone and we will always look out for her." He said that while he is now with God smiling from the heavens, they will continue their work with the real struggle of life until they meet again. "You will never be forgotten and will always be loved, RIP Pops," Mysterio concluded.

WOMEN'S WARGAMES MATCH ANNOUNCED
- The women's WarGames match was finally officially announced last night on Raw which featured the return of The Eradicator, Rhea Ripley. The five on five match will see the team of WWE Women's World champion Rhea Ripley, WWE Women's champion Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, and Candice LeRae teaming up to take on the WWE Women's Tag Team champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley. Ripley returned on Raw after a few weeks out due to a broken orbital bone and was sporting a clear face mask to prevent further injury. A match set for next week will see Bianca Belair take on Nia Jax to see who will have the WarGames advantage for their team.

SMACKDOWN RATING
- Smackdown drew its lowest number since moving to USA Network last week, with only 1,234,000 viewers tuning in, down 302,000 viewers from the prior week and the lowest number in a year since the show had moved to FS1 from FOX. The show had an equally-low 0.32 rating in 18-49, down a whopping 0.15 from last week. All of TV was down and Smackdown actually was still #2 on all of television behind NBA on ESPN. The show went against part of the Tyson vs Paul Netflix special. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider)
