I wish they bring more old WCW pay-per-view names to be used for NXT. Starrcade is, I think, a name which they should be using yearly. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at JESSE VENTURA "BACK HOME" WITH WWE- WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura attended his first WWE live event in 15 years, being a guest of the company at Raw in his home state of Minnesota. The show was held in St. Paul. Ventura, who was Governor of Minnesota for five years between 1998 and 2003, was shown on Raw arriving at the arena and being greeted by WWE COO Paul "Triple H" Levesque. On commentary, Michael Cole welcomed "The Body" back home. "Welcome home, Jesse Ventura," added Triple H on X. "Honored to have one of the all-time greats back to #WWERaw tonight." Ventura replied to WWE's post showing the video from Raw saying, "Yes, it's true. The Body is back home. Thank you @TripleH and the whole @WWE family." He then wrote, "@CMPunk looks like hell froze over... again!" Ventura also posted a photo shaking hands with CM Punk, writing that he came back for moments like these. A few months ago, Ventura said that he has started dialogue again with WWE and he had a contract offer in hand, presumably a Legends deal. He admitted that this was only happening because of the change of direction in the company and the removal of Vince McMahon from his position. You can see the video at . BAD BLOOD NEARLY SOLD OUT- The October 5 Bad Blood premium live event is just 500 tickets shy of a sellout according to ticket tracking service @WrestleTix. While there will be a stage for this show, seats behind the stage were opened up as well, ensuring maximum capacity. WWE announced the return of the show after an absence of 20 years. There have only been three Bad Blood shows ¨C in 1997, 2003, and 2004 ¨C and this 2024 version will take place on the same day of the first-ever Bad Blood which had Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match and the introduction of Kane. Giulia, who has signed a WWE deal, will soon be reporting to the WWE Performance Center where she will be part of the NXT brand for the time being. Her last match will be against Mai Sakura at the Korakuren Hall. Giulia appeared at NXT Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend along with Marigold chief Rossy Ogawa. THREE-HOUR PRE-SHOW FOR SUMMERSLAM- SummerSlam is going to be a long, long night for those working it and those watching on television as WWE announced that the pre-show this Saturday will run for a whopping three hours. A start time of 4PM ET is being advertised for the Countdown to SummerSlam, which will air on WWE's social media properties, Peacock, and WWE Network for free. It will be followed by the premium live event at 7PM ET. The longer pre-show might have something to do with AEW's Collision which was moved to 5PM ET to avoid going head-to-head with SummerSlam. Now, Collision will have the Countdown show head-to-head, with WWE's broadcast having a one-hour head start. Meanwhile, The Miz was selected as the host of this year's show since it will be taking place from his hometown of Cleveland.
