Much latency with frequency change

Edited

I am using Fldigi with Thetis software, and HFauto tuner app. When I change frequency with the VFO in Thetis, FLdigi is very slow to follow the frequency change. Most times the frequency indicator in FLdigi goes to zero for several seconds. The greater the change, the longer it takes to catch up. If I select a frequency directly, the frequency change in FLdigi is instantaneous.
This started when I upgraded to 4.2.6.17. I have changed nothing since the upgrade. Another example: If I spin the VFO for 50kHz Fldigi takes 25 seconds before the frequency pops up.
Any ideas or has anyone seen this before? Thank you for your help.

I've checked everything I can think of that might cause this latency. Including older versions of FLdigi, and older versions of all associated app. If anyone has any ideas on what I could check please give me a shout. I always get these weird and wonderful irritating little problems :')

How do you have FLDigi talking to Thetis?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. I'm somewhat new to FLdigi and the communication schemes. FLdigi is talking to Thetis through a pair of virtual com ports. I believe its UDP. I changed to different virtual com ports. The com ports are initialized through VSPE emulator.

I found somewhat of a resolution. I switched to 4.2.06. The latency is still there. THis version never has the frequency go to zeros and then to the resolved one. It's not quite as solas the alpha versions.
I didn't notice that the 4.2.06.17 and .18 were alpha versions. So, I went back to the newest stable version I can live with that. Thanks for the help you tried to give me. You all have a splendid day and thanks again!
