I use the fldigi macros to send airport weather reports all the time. Adding "<WX:KBOI>" to a macro for instance will retrieve the local airport weather for Boise, ID as long as your computer is inline. I'm looking to do the same with a METAR report. Pilots use?METAR reports rather than local weather reports for their information.
I tried <METAR:KBOI> on the chance something was already written into the program but no luck?
Any way to create a macro so fldigi retrieves a METAR report. If you've already done it I'd like to see what you came up with.

so are you saying that just by sending <METAR:KBOS> I. An get a reply from someplace to what the METAR actually is? ? What frequency?

<WX:KGRR>?? and I save it to one of my fldigi buttons which I name WX KGRR

Onscreen when I hit it I get (in the transmit box)
