Unable to transmit with Yaesu FT-991
I have been trying to get FLDIGI to transmit all week and decided to troubleshoot a bit. I recently got a small laptop with Windows 11, did the FLDIGI and FLRIG install and had it working right away. I am able to decode and transmit perfectly on it because I just had my first QSO, so I know it's not my radio settings. There is something in my Windows 10 computer that isn't allowing me to transmit and I can't figure it out. The settings on both computers are equal as far as I know.
?
My speaker volume is set at 100%
Mic volume is adjusted as needed to keep the green monitor at the bottom of the screen at -20.
Numbers next to the waterfall button are 0 and 60.
My rig is connected with a USB cord for control.
I am working in DATA-U mode
?
Any ideas? |
Hello OM,
First, a comment on the waterfall setting. I run -24 60; the manual (Fldigi User Manual 4.2.00 page 33) says -20 70. I tried 0 60 but the waterfall image was too faint to be useful.
Assume you've got the YAESU drivers in the Win 10 machine. Same port settings for Enhanced?and Standard ports in both machines? CAT RATE in Menu #031 same as your ports' rate??
?
I have my own mystery . . . the Flrig 2.0.04 manual page 6 shows config\setup\transceiver as having RTS/CTS not checked; however, I must check that box or else "Init" fails.
I'm also running a '991A.
Good Luck; K8KDL Ken
