Fldigi UI has me flummoxed

I have a super basic question. What is the section of the UI called that contains the frequency window, the logging area, etc., and specifically, the mode and bandwidth section called? It's the area between the header and the macro section.?
?
?
?
I'm looking for a description of all?of the functions in that area. Without knowing the correct nomenclature, I can't search. Is there an image that has ball-notes for each item/button?
?
Thanks

This depends on the rig and the rig control?software being used.

In general, the left hand field displays the mode of the rig IF this is handled by rg ctonrl software.

In general the right hand field would be filter width?IF filter width is controlled by the rig control software.

Under Fldigi Configuration->Configure->UI->General is a checkbox in the upper left hand side of the dialog box named "Show tool tips". Make sure this is selected. Hover the cursor over the UI in question for a few seconds. A text message should pop up with some additional information about the UI. Sadly in this particular case it seems it doesn't show a tool tip for the widgets is question. I realize this doesn't help you in this case, but info for other UI widgets.

Don and Robert, You're the best. Thanks.?

Robert, you answered?the question I didn't even ask, but was thinking about!

Bill,
Looked over the source code related to your question. The widgets in question is a custom UI element and the code contains no assignment (text message) to the tooltip() function. The reason for no tool tip.
Robert

Thanks again Robert.

I was trying to help a friend. The blind leading the blind, with the ignorant for consultation.??
