Unable to transmit with Yaesu FT-991

I have been trying to get FLDIGI to transmit all week and decided to troubleshoot a bit. I recently got a small laptop with Windows 11, did the FLDIGI and FLRIG install and had it working right away. I am able to decode and transmit perfectly on it because I just had my first QSO, so I know it's not my radio settings. There is something in my Windows 10 computer that isn't allowing me to transmit and I can't figure it out. The settings on both computers are equal as far as I know.
?
My speaker volume is set at 100%
Mic volume is adjusted as needed to keep the green monitor at the bottom of the screen at -20.
Numbers next to the waterfall button are 0 and 60.
My rig is connected with a USB cord for control.
I am working in DATA-U mode
?
Any ideas?

I will have a general slide show (PDF or PowerPoint) at the start going over the CONFIGURATION setup for a variety of rigs.

Please first consult the very well written HELP GUIDE on Fldigi.
It has a wealth of information.

Re: Anyone able to get ICOM IC-707 Transmit working?

Ok, I'll look into the vox approach.

But here was my thinking with trying to get fldigi to work "natively", since I can indeed get fldigi to trigger the transceiver?to transmit by manually toggling the?Hamlib "RTS/CTS flow control" and "RTS +12" settings, then I know that fldigi is able to "talk to" the transceiver?and get it to transmit.
The only problem with manually toggling?the Hamlib "RTS/CTS flow control" and "RTS +12" settings is that the transceiver?stays transmitting until I uncheck the settings.

So, I'm thinking that some sort of fldigi configuration may still be a possible solution...I'm just?don't have enough fldigi debug experience to figure it out.

BTW, is there anyone out there that DOES have deep fldigi debug experience that would be willing to help me on this over a call or video meeting?
I would be happy to pay an hourly rate for anyone's time on this...perhaps venmo...if anyone is interested, let me know.

Thanks,

John

FLRig Power Out Issue (FT-2000)

Greetings, Dave.

?

?

I discovered a new problem.? The output power is reduced on the transceiver when FLRig is initialized. I uploaded a video for you.? You¡¯ll have to download it because it¡¯s too large to attach to the email. The video explains the issue hopefully better.

?

?

I also attached the TRACE files for your review.? I think the TRACE files will tell a better story.?

?

Power shows 253 when transceiver is adjusted to 100 watts.? But, 253 is still not full power out.

?

?

?

Then, sliding the power adjustment down and back up to max, goes to 100. Never goes back to 253.

Re: flrig & the user interface

Also in FLdigi there is the under the Misc the Autostart.
There I can input all the FL Programs to come up when I start FLdigi.
Just things we are finding out with this amazing program.
?

Re: flrig & the user interface

On flrig on the config button under the UI there is the user interface button.
I clicket on it to see what it did.
On my IC-7100 there is the same interface but when you click any button it goes away.
That is why I want to know if there is is a way to get the user interface to come up.

Re: flrig & the user interface

So, when you open FLRIG, you have no user interface? How do you even know it's open then?

Re: FLDIGI Training Net

Hi Barry,
My name is Randy / n7wwa. I used to participate in the PA nbems digi nets several years ago. At that time, there was a guy out of Pittsburgh that was NCS most of the time. I am in WV at Point Pleasant. I am in NVIS range of most of OH and Western PA and all of WV? I am pretty well versed in most all digi modes but would like to join your zoom meeting and start checking onto your nets and contribute as needed

I applied your recommendations and was able to see a perfectly decoded message this morning. I had been told that I MUST keep my mode in USB for everything, but I had better luck today switching it to DATA-U. I also turned up my mic so the green monitor was right around -20.
?
A friend and I tried to communicate back and forth last night and I could see him, but only half was decoded. He was unable to see my transmission at all. I don't know if it was on my end or his. I can only assume at this time that I'm doing it correctly. When I send my message, it starts typing in red in the top screen and the waterfall shows a bright yellow streak.
?
In the left screen where the frequencies pop up, I saw a CQ in red and clicked on it. It came through perfect. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be any activity.?Can I assume if I click on a signal in the waterfall, it should do the same as clicking in the list on the left of the screen and take me to that transmission?
?
Thanks for your help!
