I've found three different recommendations from three different sources: "heavy gear oil" "90wt," and "140wt." I didn't want to run the risk of seepage even thought the unit is now sealed properly. I considered the semi-fluid synthetic grease route but, after I re-read some old postings I thought your idea of the 600wt was a good solution...even if it was intended for knuckles! The unit has a light coating of gear lube at friction point too...I'll let you if I exspirience any ill-effects from the 600.
