Welcome to the site, but a bit more information might be helpful like what
type of '58 and where you might be located.

Kurt,Thanks for the reply.Do not know exactly what type. She had a plate on the firewall with some info but someone drilled it off recently and its GONE.Her serial # on gov. registration is 44209.Not much to go on.I'm assuming she is a wagon. She has the body of a Jeep with tailgate and cab from windshield to the tailgate.I live in Labrador City,Newfoundland and Labrador,Canada.

I think we still need some more info. A wagon is configured like a
current day SUV (with more style, of course) with 2 doors and a rear
hatch that swings up and a tailgate that swings down. Most will have a
sliding window behind each door and a fixed window behind that. Does
that sound like what you have? Or do you have something that "looks
like a Jeep" and has a hard top?

The serial number that you reference could fall into the category for a
CJ3B produced in 1958. Does the registration you have also have a
location for a model number? Or does it have 57348 anywhere in the
nomenclature?

Bill,
Thanks for responding. My Jeep has a window on each side to the rear of the cab.She has a rear hatch that swings up and a tailgate that swings down. The registration does have a model location but it is blank.Only other reference that may help ID her may be a number on the water pump housing.Maybe??I don't know of anything else. She did have a plate on the firewall but some P$&%K recently drilled the rivets and took it.

Bill,
The closest picture yet is of like Jonathan Hamilton's unrestored 3A.She has gauges on both sides of the steering column.

Ken, okay, then the next question is whether it is a high hood or not.
Look at the space above the slots on the grill. Does it look like the
ones on the cj3a page or more like this one from the cj3b page?

Bill,
Picture of the CJ3B looks pretty close.Mine has a gas cap/filler located above the drivers side rear tire and her hood is tapered from the rear near the windshield out to the front of the bonnet.I have two pictures here I wish I could scan and send to you.

Bill,
I forgot to mention that she has a Micro-Lock Brake located on the dash on left side of steering column.Don't know if that would help.

Ken, I have to hand you off to someone else from here. I have become
somewhat familiar with the Wagons. Since we have determined that what
you have is not a wagon, I am definitely not the best authority. I
think if you can scan those photos and place them in the "Photos"
section, someone here should be able to assist you further.
