/g/wb1gof-dmr/message/107
Thought I would give a quick update on getting the 146.450 WB1GOF DMR repeater to the Westford DPW site.

While the repeater is fully functional, it is located at my residence (viewable on QRZ). The plans to relocate it to the highway garage salt shed is likely not to occur. The equipment we have will not fit in that site. The 6-can duplexers are just too big.

So, that project will continue to be on hold. It is possible that I could come up with an alternative, possibly going to 440/UHF where the duplexers are significantly smaller. But the sourcing of equipment for that has not yet occurred.

That’s it! Nothing more to add really. I will update when there is any significant news.

Terry

Terry M Stader KA8SCP
WB1GOF Repeaters Proprietorka8scp@... (Terry M. Some of you might have experienced some poor transmissions listening in to 49C or BM TG312543. Turns out that when I was adding the WolfDen/WolfPack Fusion network in to REF049/XLX049 reflectors, I inadvertently created a multi-path condition to the transcoders I use to convert D-STAR to Fusion/DMR networks. That situation has now been corrected as of late Thursday evening. Monitoring yesterday shows 0 packet loss on any of the interconnects. Some users using hotspots while mobile using a cellular carrier are the most common times we see packet loss. Also home users at times with low bandwidth on their WiFi/internet.

I thought I would share a “map of how REF049C connects to a larger network. I am working on a little narrative to add that you can use to connect to the network. Work In Progress.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation. Enjoy.

Terry

Terry M Stader KA8SCP
WB1GOF Repeaters Proprietorka8scp@... (Terry M. Stader)Sat, 22 Feb 2025 06:37:16 -0800Re: Revised GOF network map
